My husband is one handy fello. The old garden shed that some friends gave us has not only been used on the chicken coop, but we even had enough to make a little dog kennel for Grubby. Matt just bought some pine, re-used an old shelf for the bottom and the sheets of tin on the sides to make a cosy little house for our pooch.
The way I just wrote that, makes it sound like he's adorable and we love him. But in reality he drives me nuts and he's only slightly more cute than he is annoying.
It was all hands on deck and the kids loved being allowed to paint for a change. I'm usually the paint-master in this neck of the woods. Painting is just sometimes so much more relaxing when you're not panicky about the walls being painted too. Or the couch. Or the TV. But outside they could paint messy and it didn't matter.
It took one afternoon for Matt to knock this together and I love it. It's in my favourite colour, it's a unique shape, and it's made with recycled materials.
Did any building happen at your place these holidays? Do your kids love to paint?
