Okay, bare with me.
I realise that it may sound completely shallow to be grateful for a drink, and an iced coffee at that. Not even a healthy spinach and apple smoothie that is good for my body, but a caffienated, processed, sugar laden dairy drink?
Oh please lady. Take a seat.
It's just that with these 4 kids of mine at home, the long hot days, and the chance to sit beside the pool watching the kids having a blast - well it's just the perfect chance for me to sit with an Iced Coffee and soak up the goodness of these holidays.
It's mamma's little moment of heaven. And believe me, by the time 3pm rocks around, I need a lil' pick me up.
If I weren't with child, I would be filling a wine glass and chill'n my way to bedtime. So this week I'm grateful for the delicious Iced Coffee that gets me through the afternoon huzzah of tired, sun-drenched kids that probably have too much chlorine coursing through their veins.
I'm also grateful for Week 1. THIS is Week 1 of another 52 week year! 52 Weeks of Grateful has begun all over again and I'm pretty excited about being on board from the word go. I'm loving reflecting each week on my life and heart and choosing one thing (or in this case, two!) to be grateful for. It really changes your perspective.
I'm also grateful for Bron from Maxabella Loves who is the hostest with the mostest and inspires so many people to journey into gratefulness. I know it's changed me and I'm sure I'm not the only one.
Here's to a big 2013 full of gratefulness!
