So, this is day six of not having a shower. Day six. I have had baths every night. I don't think I've whinged about anything more than I have about not having a running shower. Really. I am most disgusted in myself....I mean, some third world countries don't even have running water and I'm complaining about having to have a bath!!?!? What's up with that? In my defence though there is something soooo relaxing about running water on your back, and a bath just can't do that.
However, all of this time spent sitting in a bath tub has got me thinking about how accustomed we can become to our 'creature comforts'. How after a while we are almost fooled into thinking that we 'need' that particular thing or comfort or convenience. But realy, we only 'need' it because it's what we are used too, it's what we like to do. Oh the Epiphanies. They are like a little slap in the face.
Now, I'm off to watch freshly laid tiles dry.....
